Where do you guys work and what are the conditions?

I work in a factory. I work in the metals department. So touching metal all day thats nickel platted. We use gloves but they make my hands sweat and itch. But if i dont wear them my hands instantly flare up. We also have to wear steel toe shoes so thats just extra heat. Its like 90 something in here. Extreamly hot. Suffering. Im wondering if maybe its time to find a new job or wait the 3 months for the otezla to fully kick in but its going to be hell

I think I would have to find another means of income if I could. I’m not sure I could endure it. Sometimes the flare ups could be bad. And if the psoriasis areas spread to the arms? Even if the arms are covered, there is still a chance the reaction from the heat and metals could penetrate through the clothing materials. And more to that point; what if the exposure to these kind of toxins causes your psoriasis to spread because of a reactionary response? You just don’t know. We must be mindful of these things, as we must be mindful of everything we put on our skin and into our bodies when dealing with this disease. But you must must do what you believe is best for you you and what you believe your body can handle. Just be careful and listen to your body’s responses. It already sounds like it it having a negative reaction. ((Hugs))

I don’t work anymore because of my husbands work. He travels a lot so when he started working for this company he had me quit to travel with him. It sounds miserable what you deal with. You may have to find something different to help with your condition. Take care

I work in retail. At Torrid in the mall. I only work on weekends and about 10 hours a week. I am able to keep my stress levels down and there is no exposure to any chemicals whatsoever.
