Does Anyone Suffer With Anxiety & Depression?

Since my diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis I have suffered from multiple food & drug allergies. I have even had anaphylactic reactions. I never experienced these allergies before diagnosis. I also have extreme anxiety & mild depression. Has anyone else experienced these complications?

Yes! I suffer terribly bad! I'm on three different medications and still have problems with it. It's pretty common for people with this disease. We can't do normal things and it sets us up on this terrible depression / anxiety spiral. I hate it.

Tela,
Many doctors don’t seem to put 2 and 2 together. Some are just starting to realize that most people with psa have also had dental issues most of their lives. πŸ€”
Diet does have a lot to do with our condition and gluten is a major factor.

Absolutely....not only food allergies but allergies to some medicines also that I didn't have before.....read all you can and research....drs will not have the time or will not take the time to tell you everything....this of course effecting your immune system, your diet or foods you eat will play a very important role....on the depression issue....yes, it's normal I mean who wouldn't be when your life changes dramatically.....
Sometimes things we can't change we have to accept but we have sense enough to change the things we can....don't stress and decide what are some efforts I can make that will improve my health some (maybe not all) but some....you are not alone πŸ’žπŸ’•
