What Lifestyle Changes Have You Made Since Becoming Diagnosed?
I changed my eating pattern: No more dairy, no more meat, no more bread, lots of vegetables (lost 28 KG), stopped smoking.
I use the best natural supplements that are out there.. and I continue to use them.
Ofcourse it's not only what you eat, but also what you put on your skin. Shampoo, fluoride-free toothpaste.. i changed all of that..
Also I managed my stress-handling. Way better now :D
The result, i'm nearly psoriasis free now :-)
It is amazing how stress just adds to the problems. It is like a hidden tiger just waiting to bite you when your not expecting.
I've had psoriasis for more than 35 years and now it is chronic psoriasis. Recently I've taken up golf which is proving to be a great decision. It means I'm out in the fresh air. Meeting new people. Developing new friendships. Getting exercise. Given me a focus to take me away from that conscious awareness of psoriasis.... It has given me a new lease of life.
No more water sports as would play them in all kinds of water. Don't want to risk the open sores. I Covering up more and worry about what I wear.
You say that you have given up dairy ... I eat 25g of YeoValley organic, sugar free, yoghurt twice a day and it is helping with the leaky gut syndrome. I am also doing detox foot patches and putting Calcipotrio/betamethasone ointment on my affected fingers at night - also on my elbows
