Any Ladies Ever Get Fake Nails? Acrylic Or Gel.
I know we aren't supposed to get them with our nails, but just curious if there are any rebels out there that have success with nail tips?
I have worn acrylic, porcelain and now gel nails for 20 years and have never had any problems or complications. If my nail tech accidentally makes me bleed (or if I've picked at a hangnail) I've noticed it's taking longer and longer to heal
I am planning on getting acrylics again and handling the fill-ins at home (my usual method). I want a pedicure so badly, but my legs look horrible (they've never cleared since my first outbreak in 2014). I don't feel like me without my nails. I can tell that if I don't get back to who I know me to be, I'll only fall back into depression and I refuse to go that route again.
The one time I went for a pedicure and had some psoriasis on my legs and she was like "no big deal" and I cried! I love when people are nice and understanding.
I never had a pedicure because my nails looked awful. My husband booked and paid for me to go before our holidays. The girl was lovely. She said no woman likes her feet. She spent an hour making them thinner. They looked so nice that I burst into tears ( not like me ) I have been back twice more. Go for it.!!
She also does a manicure. Lovely as well.
I wish I could! My nails are ridged and pitted, then splitting down the middle. It catches on things and rips. I even have a toe nail coming off the bed-then what do you do? Glue it or glue a fake one on? I have heard that once on Biologics it might clear up. I am almost one week out from my Enbrel inject. Joanne
