Methotrexate.... How Long Before It Works?
My husband is on his 5th week of tablet form Methotrexate and so far there's no difference at all.... anyone advise on how long before it kicked in, obviously everyone's different but any advice would be so appreciated as it's really getting him down at the moment. He's had Psoriasis for over 20 years.
The longer you're on it the better. I saw a difference starting after 3 months, but each case is different. Hang in there!
I've been on methotrexate for six weeks. I started to see a slight improvement in some areas after five weeks and my specialist has now upped the dosage and I'm hoping for more all over improvements.
My brother started with pills but now injects once a week it works quicker the specialist said.
I take the Methotrexate shots and at about 5 weeks in i saw a huge difference. Maybe the pills just take a bit longer. Hang in there! Don't give up or lose hope.
Keeps mine at bay...................scared of needles so other stuff is out
