In Canada you have to try and fail Methotrexate first before you get put on a different medication. Methotrexate comes in pill or injection form

Hello! I found out that the doctors try you on the topical medicines and soak powders then they start with the oral medicines and then the injections or infusions. I started with the topical creams, soaks and other medicines before the injections then the insurance approved. I guess they want to see what works first how long you had the problem and to make sure the doctor tried all the other medicines before you try the heavy duty medicine. Wish ;you the best. Make sure you talk to your doctor about this.
