my doctor wanted to put me on taltz since I know show signs of 2 different types of psoriasis but am afraid of the side effects so for the next 3 months i stay on the steroid creams plus use otezla, my question is for those on either otezla or talts... did you have any luck and did you get any bad side effects??? thank you so much in advance
I have been on otezla for 6 weeks and it works well for my psoriasis but it isn't helping at all with my psoriatic arthritis. As far as side effects on otezla i have had some intestinal issues but mild. The only side effect that i am really having issues with is stiff neck and bad headaches. I am starting taltz next week because i cant handle the psoriatic arthritis pain and praying the taltz helps
Best of luck to you.. I have heard of methotrexate can be tough. My doctor told e the otezla would be best for me. My insurance company won't cover it however the company has programs so now I get the otezla at no cost for a year..Maybe the company for taltz has a program you can look into..
It is up to you to decide. The side effects are a possibility. It comes down to how much pain do you want to be in. Also, delaying treatment is not good.
I have taken one or the other biologics for 8 years. Never had any immune system problems, but that is me. Your mileage may vary.
