Try t-gel shampoo. There are a lot of them but that’s what I would try first.

I used Coconut shampoo but without medicine mine took over my whole head. I use multi things from Dermatologist now. I use Clobetasol , also use a oil from doctor and leave on for 4 hours daily. I was on Celebrax but that made it worse. Now I am on Siliq and started Otezla. I have lost over 75 % of my hair. I started getting severe itching and scales back in last year. I would recommend talking to Dermatologist to see about medicine so it don't get out of hand. Good luck.

There's articles around here that cover a wealth of options like T-gel or other coal tar prep and remember this is an auto-immune disease so less is more. Avoid fragrance and keep to as few ingredients as possible.

For managing scalp psoriasis and minimizing hair loss, consider the following tips from the knowledge base:

- Topical Treatments: Use topical corticosteroids, which come in creams, lotions, ointments, or shampoos. These can help control psoriasis and reduce itching. However, they should be used for only two to four weeks before taking a break to avoid skin thinning.

- Shampoos: Look for shampoos containing coal tar, salicylic acid, zinc pyrithione, selenium sulfide, or ketoconazole. These ingredients can help manage symptoms. Rotate different shampoos to prevent your scalp from getting used to one ingredient.

- Gentle Care: Avoid picking or scratching the itchy areas, as this can cause more inflammation and potential hair loss. Keep your fingernails short to minimize damage from scratching.

- Heat Styling: Limit the use of heat styling tools like straightening irons and curling irons, as high heat can irritate the scalp and lead to flares.

- Chemical Treatments: Be cautious with hair dyes and chemical treatments, as they can cause scalp irritation and flares.

- Maintenance: Once symptoms improve, continue using treatments less regularly (every seven to ten days) to prevent further flares.

Always consult with your dermatologist to ensure you’re getting the proper care for your scalp psoriasis.
