I am wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis without any dactylitis? I have fought 'athletes foot' and toe nail issues for years. Fungus never showed up in cultures. I have psoriatic arthritis and don’t have dactylitis. Never have it in the 3 years I have had arthritis. I get swelling in my whole hands or feet but mostly when symptoms are worsening or they swell bad in the summer heat.
Yeah but still could be osteo with that data and still needs a plan of treatment and care. Damage to joints and connective tissue should be addressed.
Yes...I was about 8 years ago.
I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis specifically due to the fact that I had psoriasis and was having significant pain in my feet when walking. I did not have swollen or tender joints. But I did have enthesis in the form of Achilles Tendonitis and Plantar Fasciitis. After 40 years, that continues to be the hardest area to control. But now I have the same issues with my hands.
My psoriatic arthritis was first diagnosed by a rheumatologist based on my history of psoriasis, my family hostory of rheumatoid arthritis, and the generalised pain in the bottom of my feet. My achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis was first diagnosed by my PCP and I was referred to a podiatrist that confirmed the diagnosis. The rheumatologist then said it was due to enthesitis as it is chronic.
