Personally I believe it’s because when both your PsA & PsO are flaring it’s hard to not notice the pain and impact.
When I find myself in that situation I endeavour to loose myself in one of my hobbies e.g. gardening or electronics. It sometimes requires me taking paracetamol and or ibuprofen to ‘transition’….

It is common because when in constant pain this leads to depression or low mood
