I am one of those, and I am not trying to attract any detractors, but allies who are on my same journey.

Using The Protocol at FreedomFromPsoriasis.com, since last June, I went from covered and miserable to just spots now, and not itching, burning, bleeding or scaling at all.

I am a new woman, anyone else on here doing something similar?

I doubt my dietary changes (except quitting dairy) have been important, but I figure every little bit helps my skin stay soft and sweet.

Quitting dairy, at first, was really hard for me, as I had become a huge fan of cottage cheese and Greek yogurt in the past few years, so much so that that may have actually been one of the many factors I think conspired against me to give me my first, awful, mind-blowing flare.

And, until I finally found a couple of decent GF breads, I was really missing sandwiches. Now. I am making fabulous sandwiches again, today it was lemon pepper chicken, with tomatoes and lime slaw instead of lettuce. Delish!

1. Plant-Derived Moisturizers:

- Vitamin E and Antioxidants: Found in various plant-based oils.
- Castor Oil and Neem Oil: Popular for treating psoriasis symptoms.

2. Essential Oils:
- Bitter Apricot Oil: Shows promising effects in preventing the growth of psoriatic skin cells in lab studies.
- Copaifera Tree Oil: Improved psoriasis symptoms in a small study.
- Tea Tree Oil: Known for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Always dilute essential oils in a carrier oil like olive, jojoba, or coconut oil to avoid skin irritation.

3. Aloe Vera:
- The gel from aloe vera leaves can be applied directly to the skin to soothe burns and potentially help with psoriasis.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar:
- Recommended by the National Psoriasis Foundation. It can be used on the scalp but should be diluted with water if it causes irritation. Avoid using it on broken skin.

5. Magnesium Salts:
- Soaking in a warm bath with Dead Sea salt or Epsom salts can help relieve dry, itchy, or flaking skin and loosen plaques.

6. Stress Management:
- Techniques like deep breathing, meditation, yoga, tai chi, and connecting with family and friends can help reduce stress, a common trigger for psoriasis flares.

7. Exercise:
- Regular physical activity can help keep joints flexible and reduce inflammation and stress.

8. Complementary Therapies:
- Some people report feeling better after trying acupuncture or acupressure. However, these should not replace clinically proven medications.

Always consult with a primary care provider or dermatologist before trying any new treatments.

Good for you.
I never had luck with diet changes.
Only became more suicidal as I was now itchy, spotty AND hungry.
