I’ve heard about it, I think it’s an oral biologic? This what it said on their website.

“SOTYKTU is the only pill that selectively targets TYK2.

SOTYKTU is the only FDA-approved once-daily pill that selectively targets and blocks TYK2 signals. It is not currently known how blocking TYK2 signals works to reduce psoriasis symptoms.“

I've had plaque and scalp psoriasis for 40 years, started treating with topicals and UV for many years, with a few good periods of remission. Have tried Otezla ( improved my skin, reduced inflammation and less flares but I have separate issues with gerd and whether coincidental or not I developed a nightly cough about 3-4 weeks in, with blood tinged regurgitation so I stopped soon thereafter, and back to topicals - and the night coughing stopped when i stopped the Otezla). I started on Sotyktu in Sept 25 (massive bout of hives and stomach upset after 4 days of taking but my plaque psoriasis improved remarkably- after only 4 days, when results should normally take weeks- bizarre, but the hives as a substitute wasn't a pleasant experience). I stopped the Sotyktu tablets at my dermatologist recommendation until hivesgot under control.

STarted back on Sotyktu a few weeks later, no hives this time, within 2 weeks 80% clear, now at 12 weeks, even my scalp psoriasis is almost clear...at 95% clear full body. One side effect is an acne rash, a first for me, managing it with a 1 to 4 mix of tea tree oil and coconut oil. Interestingly, i had cause to take some certrizine (zyrtec) for an unrelated allergy and my facial acne completely cleared for the duration....will be checking if this could be a safe long term solution to control this side effect while on the Sotyktu.
I have obviously found what is right for me to control my psoriasis (at this time), of course we are all different, but worth considering.

Long story i know, but it may help someone else in making their own decisions.
