Finally, this eyelid flare remained for about 2 months, it did react well to prednisolone cream but immediately came back worse once the cream was no longer applied and it also became superinfected probably because of that crevice formation. I got rid of the flare after 6 days of orally taken antibiotics (Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid). The skin normalized completely after 4 weeks. But in April 2024 the same skin flare came back out of the blue, with a symmetrical but much less inflammed flare on the other eye (between eyebrow and upper eyelid). A crevice has not yet formed but I feel tension of the that skin region. Now all my other symptoms which seem to invoke inverse psoriasis do make less sense when compared to symptoms typical of atopic dermatitis.

I discovered that some occasional symptoms I had as a 13 year old - like formation of a vertical crevice splitting my lower lip right in the middle which was triggered after prolonged exposure to cold winter air, when I was in a ski camp for 10 days - already were signs of atopic dermatitis. In retrospect, I had some more signs which are much better explained by atopic dermatitis than inverse psoriasis, even if psoriatic athritis is in my family's history. Now I actually wonder if that diagnosis is wrong ,too, as I know that in my familiy there were never any skin signs except for those present on the finger tips (crevices again) evoking atopic dermatis more than psoriatic problems. Life can be strange...

I've had hay fever since I was 15 years old, the symptoms were very severe in Spring between age 16 and 35, after moving to a colder region the symptoms were almost gone. Now I believe my skin flares on my upper periorbital region are probably triggerd by my pollen allergy. The nose does not really run anymore, but instead I got these skin problems.
