Before starting a new exercise routine, it's important to talk with your healthcare provider or rheumatologist first. They can provide guidance on what types of exercises would be most beneficial for your specific situation and help reduce the risk of injury.

For people with PsA, low-impact exercises like swimming, yoga, and tai chi are often recommended as they put less pressure on your joints. Bicycling and walking are also good options that can help improve range of motion while being gentle on your body. While I can't recommend specific trainers in The Woodlands area, when choosing a personal trainer, look for someone who has experience working with clients who have joint conditions. They should be able to design a program that includes both recreational exercises for overall fitness and therapeutic exercises specifically targeted to help preserve and improve your range of motion.

Remember to listen to your body and be especially careful during flare-ups, when your joints may need more rest than usual. A good trainer will understand the need to modify exercises based on how you're feeling on any given day.
