Also if you are taking Prednisone it also raises blood sugar levels I’ve found out.

Comorbidities. I was just diagnosed with chronic kidney disease stage 3A from all the arthritis meds, and so many years on NSAIDS. I also have hypertension and I’m on cholesterol and blood pressure medication. My liver profile is elevated. But my asthma is doing better! The older I get the more problems keep piling up. My best advice is to stay on top of your bloodwork and testing and ask your doctor lots of questions. Make sure to drink enough water throughout your day. The hard part is getting more exercise and making changes to your diet when everything cost so much nowadays.

I would recommend a person to ask what biologics are available for you. I had severe psoriasis for over 40 years. The specific biologic called Taltz has freed me. When I googled about Taltz to understand what it does and how it works, I was amazed. They figured my issue out. Amazing!

The medication is like a trial and error thing because it might work on someone and not another. Feedback to your doctor and keep trying

Let them know the many ways that PsA effects you
So many people think it's just skin and joints.
For me it is becoming very difficult to stand and start walking, balance
is off, ambulating
is difficult without my husband's arm.
Everyday it's something else. So difficult to focus, organize your
thoughts, remember things, accomplish anything more that making a sandwich,
having a shower or setting the table. Ilove and need my friends, but don't
have the energy or endurance to carry on a conversation.
My knee joints feel suddenly "loose" or painful anytime they want. I have
frequent stabbing in my right wrist and scream outlook. My toes are
starting to sting.I have several heart diagnoses.
My long hair is getting extremely thin from the biologics. I have ongoing
colitis. Basically, the immune system goes after and everything. Alot of
ticklingand coughing from my throat. Ankles have started swelling and I am
on low dose diuretic. Now have a UTI. Ugg!
It's all very discouraging
I am an upbeat, positive compassionate person. Had the most wonderful
career as an RN for 53yrs.
and feel very frustrated that I cannot contribute more to this world and be
there for others. My husband is so helpful in every way, despite his own
leg neuropathy. We are 78 but young at heart. So, please report everything
to your doctor and be aware that it takes time to
find the right biologic for you. I thank God every day for my many
blessings
and wish you all the best.
Take it a day at a time and be good to yourself. Get the rest you need. 🙂❤❤
