Oh, I forgot to add...I hear you on the prospect of having a life-long health condition such as PsA. I still feel overwhelmed sometimes. I focus on the positive things in life and try to limit the negative...that can be difficult. I just remember to take one day at a time, and speak up for myself with doctors. Having a good care team will go a long way to dealing with PsA. If you don't like your doctor, or they don't listen, find another.

I think so! I like to come in and catch up with people, read about others experiences. I don't know anyone personally who has PaA or psoriasis so it helps to know I can find out from others who are actually dealing with similar issues, and see all the different treatment approaches.

Hi Kimberly
I have been lucky and the first biologic I tried works very well for my PsA. I started Enbrel in late 2023 and have not had PsA issues since...aside from the occasional "flare" when I get mild pain in some joints-but none of the swelling I once experienced. I take ibuprofen when that happens, and it helps a lot.
Enbrel has controlled the psoriasis to a great extent, but I wish it did more. I have to cover that gap with topicals-clobetasol for my scalp and Zoryve for other areas. Cortisone cream helps some, but I find it fairly short lived and I have to apply again.
What have you considered trying?

Thanks James. I am new to having PaA and feeling pretty overwhelmed by the fact that I will have this for the rest of my life. I am currently in the middle of a terrible flare that is making it difficult to walk. I appreciate your posts. What kinds of treatment has been successful for you?
