It's understandable to be concerned about swollen lymph nodes. While biologics were once thought to increase lymphoma risk, recent studies of over 15,000 people taking biologics found no increased risk. However, it's important that your husband is getting checked by his doctor to determine the cause of the swollen lymph nodes.

You can check lymph nodes by gently feeling the area with fingertips in a circular motion. Some symptoms that may occur with swollen lymph nodes include:
• Fever
• Night sweats
• Unexplained weight loss Before starting biologics, doctors typically conduct screening tests to check for underlying infections since these medications can affect the immune system. While on biologics, regular monitoring through blood tests is standard practice. If you have concerns about your husband's current biologic medication, discuss them with his healthcare provider who can evaluate his specific situation and determine the best path forward.
