About 35% of people with psoriatic arthritis experience jaw-related symptoms. The pain can make everyday activities like eating, talking, and even brushing teeth difficult and uncomfortable. Common jaw-related symptoms include:
• Pain in front of or at the top of the ear
• Pain in the back part of the jaw
• Pain in the cheek area
• Swelling that makes it hard to open/close mouth
• Difficulty chewing
• Problems with basic oral hygiene due to jaw pain
If you experience jaw pain, it's important to seek medical advice immediately from your rheumatologist or dentist to prevent long-term complications and get appropriate treatment.

My insurance will not take anything to do with the UCONN hospital that is our go to place. My surgeon only does day surgery. So he said to go the nearest hospital. I will need extra time to recover. Besides I do not trust my husband to find his way around Hartford!
And yes I have teeth problems although my Ps is gone and the PSA is minor. My teeth have what looks like splits up the and very rough surface. MD says that opened bobby pins as a kid!

My teeth are affected. Lines going up like my fingernails. Front teeth need smoothing out and then capped. Then I brush too hard 😁moving the gum line away.
