I haven't had energy in months it's like I feel ok then I start to do something and all of a sudden I get completely exhausted and hurt horribly. Sending gentle hugs.

Omg, yes and if you work long hours it gets worse. I worked a 14.5 hour day(not by choice) on September 17th came home visited with family about 30 had to lay down and slept for 10 hours and have been inflamed every since meds aren't working now. Oh and I usually sleep for 2 hours and wake up in pain, so that 10 hours sleep was mostly due to the fatigue I deal with on a daily.
Your fatigue is mostly from your mind and body trying to fight the inflamation in your joints and skin.

Oh absolutely. I have to be a spoonie with that analogy of managing my spoons. It's just a method of managing my energy. You learn your lesson that if you overexert and you spend up energy for the next day that you're still just in a flare and down some more. With physical therapy going on for my body, I have very little energy these past weeks.

Yes, fatigue is a common symptom of psoriatic arthritis (PsA), affecting 30-40% of people with the condition. This isn't just normal tiredness - it's a constant, overwhelming exhaustion that doesn't improve with rest and can affect both your body and mind. Many people with PsA consider fatigue one of their most troubling symptoms. Several factors can contribute to PsA-related fatigue:

• Inflammation from the autoimmune response
• Chronic joint pain making physical activity difficult
• Sleep problems and insomnia (affecting up to 90% of people)
• Depression and other mental health conditions
• Anemia (low red blood cells)
• Medication side effects from treatments like methotrexate, cyclosporine, or biologics

The fatigue can create a challenging cycle - poor sleep leads to increased fatigue, which can make pain feel worse, which in turn makes it harder to sleep.
