Yes it is listed as a disability on Ssa website, but be advised it is a long process to be approved. In the state of Alabama it can take several years to get it. The SSA board just sent me an email that in Alabama it can take as long as 2110 days for the process from start to finish. I believe they do this to force you to go back to work whether you are able to work or not.
We have run out of savings while I have been waiting on my first answer from them as they said the first answer usually takes 280 days for an answer.
