One member reported that Stelara worked exceptionally well for them, achieving 99.9 percent skin clearance over 12 years with no side effects. They experienced only minor flare-ups during times of uncontrolled stress. However, they had to wait two years for the medication to be approved, during which they suffered terrible flare-ups.
Another member mentioned taking Stelara before switching to a different biologic. While on Stelara, they experienced severe upper respiratory tract infections and frequent urinary tract infections, which they attributed to the increased infection risk associated with biologics.
A third member noted they tried Stelara before eventually switching to Taltz, which provided better results for them. They achieved partial skin clearance on Stelara before finding a medication that gave them nearly complete clearance.
