Do you know of a good physician in Lynchburg, Virginia for psoriasis?

It sounds like you're really struggling, and finding the right dermatologist can make a huge difference in managing your psoriasis.

While I don't have specific doctor recommendations for Lynchburg, here are some helpful ways to find a qualified dermatologist in your area:

Search for board-certified dermatologists:
- Look for doctors with an FAAD credential (Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology)
- Use the American Academy of Dermatology website to search by location
- Check for certification by the American Board of Dermatology

Important questions to ask when choosing a dermatologist:
- Do they have experience treating psoriasis specifically?
- Are they willing to prescribe the full range of treatments (topicals, oral medications, biologics)?
- Do they accept your insurance?
- How far is their office from you?

What to look for:
- Check online reviews, but remember people often post after very positive or very negative experiences
- Make sure they specialize in medical dermatology, not just cosmetic procedures
- After your first visit, ask yourself if they listened to you and if you felt comfortable discussing your concerns

A MyPsoriasisTeam member shared: "Don't give up. Keep looking for a doctor who takes the time to honestly assess and provide the care you need."

Finding the right doctor may take some patience, but it's worth it for getting your psoriasis under control.
