I hope your kidney stone surgery goes well! Can I ask what version you are having? I also suffer from kidney stones and one urologist (yes, I've seen several ...) wants some kind of procedure to remove them. Mine are rather small, though one is 6mm which is maybe too large to leave on its own, if it decides to do so. My attitude is leave well enough alone! My other urologist agrees with me; I'm following his advice.

Obviously your doctor was not that aware of the stress with your condition can cause a bad reaction. Hopefully that is subsiding and you are finding relief in that now. Sorry to see that happened. I know I've got an upcoming kidney stone surgery likely and I'm trying not to get over worked up about it because I'm concerned I could have a flare as a result of too much concern about it ahead of it. This is a good reminder that I should just say it is what it will be basically.

Ugh! It makes sense to me that the surgery caused stress that resulted in a flare! The swelling and redness and heat I had with my flares was confused with an infection several times.
We are having a terrible tick season here, too. I've been to urgent care with a bite that looked awful...but they said it was a normal response to a tick bite and gave me Doxy just in case.
