Yes that's what I mean. You can research labs online. I sent my hair sample to one in Florida but you probably need blood so check nearby.

I just had genetic testing, but it was mainly for cancer genes. I struggle with multiple chronic conditions, but i dont know if it would be helpful or not. I do not have any children, but i do have 2 nephews from my sister. I cannot donate blood either as I only weigh 99 lbs. I never understood the reasoning for the weight requirement.

For anyone interested in genetic testing but not the price/insurance struggle, check out Probably Genetic or GoodLabs. Both are amazing free resources, the first being the most efficient option. They mail you the kit, you send it in, they pay and connect you to resources. They screen for EVERYTHING.
GoodLabs is awesome if you are able to donate blood (weight requirements and no bleeding disorder comorbidities) They mail you the kit for testing, you bring it in to the nearest affiliated lab to drop off for testing and donate blood while there. That's the only catch, they cover all the panels and tests in exchange for blood donation to save lives. Unfortunately, I don't meet the weight requirements (must be a minimum of 110 pounds to donate blood at most labs in the US) but probably genetic has my kit on the way and is even sending kits for my children!

Thanks so much for your respose Robina. Do you happen to know anywhere in particular that does the genetic testing for rare diseases and if it's coverered by insurance? When you say food and environment sensitivity testing, do you mean allergy testing? If so, I've had both of those done already.

I haven't personally but I know it can be done. But first get a full food and environment sensitivity test to rule out those things. Also vitamin deficiency is very common. They all come with a truckload of weird symptoms
