It is important to have doctors listen to you and let you be part of the decision....I went to see another doctor in our group because I could not get in with my primary all last year nor my husband...my thyroid meds felt off....he took blood, asked if I took on an empty stomach....after 34 years of taking them no one told me not to take with my other meds just like waiting an hour after taking you also need to take it by it self and hold off on my other pills for an hour...so important to get informed not just told yep let's change your dosage and you are ready to go oh shit..the light bulb in my head just lit up...maybe the 56lb weight loss was due to changing how I took my thyroid medicine.

Yes Natalie, my Cousin Margarite , has to take her thyroid pill b4 she has anything to eat or drink for an hour. Iknow this becuz we speak every morning hi there, cuz, hehe but she will Always say. Call you when i can Drink my coffee, in a. Hour, and then we Talk. But she understands, that this is the ONLY Medication she Has To take, daiky, she is 81years, that To me is really something. If i hit 81 years of age, i probably would have taken at least , many, many ,many Medications by then. Already Have, since 1970, for Goodness Sake. You are right, I don't feel heard, don't feel that they understand what i am suffering. So I think I will go for a second opinion. Not on the diagnosis, but on the way to treat it.
Kris, nsaids are terrible. You feel better for awhile because they lower inflammation that is causing pain. Try something with less side effects. I swear by white willow bark. It's so much less expensive and very low to zero side effects. Easily available on Amazon.
