I hear you. Anything is better than nothing right? Well for scalps psoriasis I've tried dermarest for psoriasis shampoo. I've also tried Dove brand itch and dryness relief I believe it's called. Both have worked. But it's temporary until you get the next irritation. Have to keep reusing. Also, if you look at the local store in the pharmacy department you will see over the counter products that will be recommended for the condition. Most likely they have at least one or two of them. Everybody is different so what works for somebody might not work for somebody else.

I'm also seeing for plaque psoriasis beef tallow believe it or not. Don't use a lot and just let it soak in. It's supposed to moisturize and help but make sure it's pure tallow. Just that ingredient and nothing else. Or sometimes it comes with honey. Make sure both items are pure just.

Hope something helps you sooner than later. I know how that feels.

With the medication I am on, the manufacturers website had a payment program and they cover my entire co pay. My insurance pays a lot for the medication and my copay was not small. Asking your doctors office and your pharmasist can also be helpful. They know the inner working of the system. My doctors office also had a sample they gave me when the meds were out of stock. The Walgreens I was using sent me to the manufacturers sight to sign up for the assistance. Good luck

Magnesium complex is good if you're new to psoriasis & need some relief.

I use exoderm lotion and pretend I'm allergic to everything instead of just some. Hypoallergenic products with low alcohol content are the best.
