We all know psoriasis is a immune response and fibromyalgia isn't as well looked into but most believe it's immune as well... I have all 3 and wondered how many other do as well? Is there any scientific looks into this?

Great question β€” these three conditions can overlap, and understanding the connection is really helpful for managing your health.

Here's how they're linked:

- About 30% of people with psoriasis go on to develop psoriatic arthritis (PsA)
- PsA typically develops 10–20 years after psoriasis first appears

Great question β€” these three conditions can overlap, and understanding the connection is really helpful for managing your health.

Here's how they're linked:

- About 30% of people with psoriasis go on to develop psoriatic arthritis (PsA)
- PsA typically develops 10–20 years after psoriasis first appears
- It is possible to have both PsA and fibromyalgia at the same time β€” one MyPsoriasisTeam member shared, "I have fibromyalgia and PsA, so I see a rheumatologist and a pain management specialist" Unfortunately, there isn't a specific statistic available for how many people have all three conditions together. What is known is that PsA and fibromyalgia share chronic musculoskeletal pain as a common symptom, which can make diagnosis tricky.

No single test can confirm either PsA or fibromyalgia β€” doctors use a combination of:

- Medical history
- Physical examination
- Blood tests
- Imaging studies

If joint pain, stiffness, or widespread body pain are concerns alongside psoriasis, it's worth raising with a doctor. Early diagnosis of PsA in particular can help prevent long-term joint damage.
