I would recommend beef tallow. Make sure it's pure with no added ingredients. And then use it sparingly not excessively. They say it has a good shelf life of 6 to 12 months. You just check on it probably around 5 months or so to see if it's not discolored by that time. You don't need to refrigerate it just make sure it's sealed and in a cool place to keep it in a cabinet. Use as needed. I found when I put it on some patches it quickly made it go down.

There's no single "best" natural treatment for psoriasis β€” it really depends on your symptoms and skin type. That said, there are several well-known options that many people with psoriasis have found helpful alongside their prescribed treatments.

Here are some popular natural remedies worth exploring:

- Aloe vera β€” May help with redness and scaling; look for products with at least 0.5% aloe and apply up to three times a day
- Coconut oil β€” Has anti-inflammatory properties and may help soothe itchiness and dryness
- Oatmeal baths or paste β€” Can reduce redness and itchiness
- Apple cider vinegar β€” Often used for scalp itch relief
- Tea tree oil or olive oil β€” May help with dryness and itching (always dilute essential oils in a carrier oil before applying to skin)
- Turmeric supplements β€” Some evidence suggests they may help minimize flares
- Dead Sea or Himalayan salt soaks β€” Can help remove scales
- Capsaicin β€” May help reduce pain and inflammation A MyPsoriasisTeam member shared that coconut oil gave them instant relief from itching, while another swears by aloe vera gel for their facial psoriasis.

It's important to know that natural remedies can sometimes irritate skin or interact with medications, so always check with your dermatologist or doctor before trying something new. These remedies work best as a complement to β€” not a replacement for β€” your prescribed treatment plan.
