Ketocanozole shampoo helped with my scalp itches, because I ended up with yeast issues.
Seborrheic dermatitis in addition to the psoriasis.

I just don't feel like the Cetaphil etc ... gets me as clean. It is bad to use a loofah or puff versus a soft cotton was cloth.

Finding the right soap for psoriasis can feel like a full-time job! Dr. Bronner's peppermint wash might actually be working against you — peppermint is a fragrance and can irritate psoriatic skin, which already has a compromised skin barrier.

The American Academy of Dermatology recommends gentle, moisturizing cleansers formulated for sensitive skin. Here are some well-regarded options:

- CeraVe Psoriasis Cleanser — Contains 2% salicylic acid and ceramides to gently exfoliate scales and strengthen the skin barrier. It holds the National Psoriasis Foundation's Seal of Recognition
- Cetaphil — Very gentle and widely used by people with psoriasis
- Pine Tar Soap (e.g., Grandpa's Pine Tar Bar Soap) — Has anti-itch and anti-inflammatory properties, also NPF-recognized
- Coal Tar Soap — FDA-approved for psoriasis, helps with itching and plaques, though it does have a strong smell
- Olive Oil Soap — A natural emollient that can help moisturize and soothe dry, scaly patches A MyPsoriasisTeam member shared that CeraVe was recommended by their dermatologist, and another said Cetaphil is "very gentle." One member also said Grandpa's Pine Tar Bar Soap helped them "immensely."

No matter which soap you choose, always moisturize within five minutes of bathing to lock in hydration. A fragrance-free cream or lotion works best.

It's worth checking with your dermatologist to find the best match for your specific symptoms and skin type.
