Last year I was diagnosed with PsA. A few months before that diagnosis I was diagnosed with PTSD, bipolar disorder, general anxiety disorder, agoraphobia with panic attacks, and prolonged grief disorder. I wonder what the life expectancy for someone with these diagnosis is?
Thank you very much for the concern but as of this moment I am fine. I am raising my grandson and I just want to be here for him as he grows into adulthood. Expectancy for a healthy male is 72. Bipolar takes 13-20 years off? I’m 51 now and my grandson is 9 so I might be cutting it close. All I ask is to be with him until he doesn’t need me anymore. 💪🏼❤️
That is a lot to carry, and it makes complete sense to have questions about what all of this means for your future. First and most importantly — if you are ever in crisis, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988. You don't have to navigate those moments alone.
