Anyone have scalp psoriasis and also in ears?

Anyone have scalp psoriasis and also in ears?

I do not have anywhere else on my body. I cover my ears with my hair but when I have a bad flare up, it looks like I have dandruff. I use medicated shampoo for my hair and Mometasone Furoate Cream for my ears. The cream works pretty well but have to use it once a week or so. The bad part is if I get water in my ears, I get a really bad ear infection. Just wondering if there is anyone out there that has the scalp psoriasis and how they deal.

Both completely clear me and do wonders for my confidence along with the benefit of a tan.

How do you deal with scalp psoriasis?

How do you deal with scalp psoriasis?

I have severe psoriasis on my scalp, and so far nothing has helped. I've tried medicated shampoo, and oil drops like betamethasone, but my scalp is still peeling off all over in huge thick chunks. It becomes very painful, sometimes bleeds or oozes, and "heals" with incredibly tight skin similar to feeling a swim cap suctioned and pulled back on your head. Such large (circumfrence and thickness) pieces come off with hair that I have bald spots accumulating particularly on the… read more

Does anyone with PsA suffer from sporadic/widespread joint pain?

I'm newly diagnosed but my arthritic pain is primarily in my lower back and hips. I have severe morning stiffness and sometime can hardly walk after sitting for a while. I also have sciatic pain down my right leg to my foot. These pains I've experienced everyday for the post 3 years. (Just started treatment yesterday with methotrexate) Now in occasion I seem to have sporadic pains in my hands and feet. There's never any swelling or redness… read more

Will swimming in a chlorine pool irritate my skin?

Will swimming in a chlorine pool irritate my skin?

I'm hoping to start swimming to get gentle exercise. My skin is looking clearer and to be honest I don't really care what people think about my skin now, just want to get on with getting better which exercise and endorphins can only help with. I'm too tired and weak to go running or to the gym so was thinking swimming would be my best bet but I'm worried that chlorine will irritate or cause my skin to flare and I don't want that when my skin is improving. If… read more

Humira Losing Effectiveness

Humira Losing Effectiveness

I have been on Humira for about 8 months. At the start it worked well, but for the past 2 months I have had flare ups. Has anyone else had the problem of a biologic that has stopped working? If so, what do you think caused it?
I'm seeing my Derm this week. I hope I can get some answers.
