Yes and they call it an autoimmune disease but they say it starts in the gut. Terribly confusing isn’t it. Take care

Has Anyone Been On Otezla And It Worked Great For 4 Years And Then Stopped Working?

Has Anyone Been On Otezla And It Worked Great For 4 Years And Then Stopped Working?

I have been on Otezla over 4 yrs. It has worked great for me but the last 6 months my psoriatic arthritis has really gotten worse. My psoriasis itself is still cleared up but my nails and my joints are not doing so great. I’m trying to decide if I’m just having a flare up of my psoriatic arthritis or if the Otezla is just not working anymore. Have any of you had this happen and if so, what did you try next?

Unfortunately any of the biologics can just quit working for whatever reason. You should call your rheumatologist and let them know what’s going on.

Is There A Difference Between Toenail Psoriasis And Fingernail Psoriasis?

I have had toenail psoriasis in the past which caused my nails to fall off or crumble away. My fingernails have ridges in them and I am seeing white hard crumbly skin appearing along the edges of my fingernails. It is quite painful to try to remove it. Is this another form of nail psoriasis?

Do Others Experience Waves Of Feeling Feverish?

Do Others Experience Waves Of Feeling Feverish?

Feeling feverish is also paired with joint pain, sore throat, and fatigue.

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member said:

I wouldn't call it feverish, but since being on Otezla, I get these horrible hot flashes, like I am being set on fire!

My Toenails Are Out Of Control... I Have To Grind Them Down And Oil Them To Keep Them "manageable".

My Toenails Are Out Of Control... I Have To Grind Them Down And Oil Them To Keep Them "manageable".

But I am nore concerned about ONE nail on my left thumb. The cuticle hardens and had to be shaved down so often, it has receded 2 to 3 millimeters... and the left 3 to 4 millimeters of the nail are always scaly and thick now. Anybody having success getting the cuticle to grow back? Or getting the nail to grow in properly again?
