Finding a way to combat skin picking disorder (Dermotillomania), when you have plaque psoriasis and scalp psoriasis. Any ideas?

As many of you know, psoriasis comes with a great deal of sub diagnoses, such as depression, anxiety, OCD, fibromyalgia, panic disorder, PTSD, etc. Unfortunately, I have a diagnosis of several of these things to include Dermatillomania, a skin picking disorder that falls under an anxiety/OCD disorder. This tends to happen when I become anxious, upset, angry, and I do not know how to manage… read more

Does any one else here suffer from Koebner Phenomenon?

Does any one else here suffer from Koebner Phenomenon?

Koebner phenomenon, a reaction that causes new psoriasis plaques to form wherever you experience a skin infection or injury.
Whenever I cut myself, get an ingrown hair, fall down an get a scrape, get a pimple, etc, it will sometimes turn into a new plaque psoriasis spot.

Where do you guys work and what are the conditions?

Where do you guys work and what are the conditions?

I work in a factory. I work in the metals department. So touching metal all day thats nickel platted. We use gloves but they make my hands sweat and itch. But if i dont wear them my hands instantly flare up. We also have to wear steel toe shoes so thats just extra heat. Its like 90 something in here. Extreamly hot. Suffering. Im wondering if maybe its time to find a new job or wait the 3 months for the otezla to fully kick in but its going to be hell

pustular psoriasis or dyshidrotic eczema?

Both of these look the same. I got a biopsy done at the dermatologist. She said it was psoriasis but why do these two look so similar. Also why do my signs lean more towards eczema?

Prednisone?

Prednisone?

Anyone on long-term, low-dose (=/<5mg) Prednisone (or been previously)?

Experiences? Is this even an option for PsA? Does it suck as much coming off it after a long time as it does when you do a taper cycle for a flare (worse?)? Does it lose effectiveness over time?
