I recently discovered that what I originally thought was a fun gals nail infection in two fingers is in fact psoriasis. It's is disgusting looking and pretty painful.
Any ideas on how to treat it? I have been cutting the nails down and applying Dovonex ointment but no improvement...
I have been taking "It Works" Hair, skin and nails for almost a month now and amazingly my psoriasis has almost disappeared off my arms and is fading on my legs. I have it pretty bad from knees down but it looks so much better since taking the HSN. I was so surprised that it worked on my psoriasis. I had started taking it as a 90 day challenge with my granddaughter to grow my hair longer. I AM SO GLAD THAT I FOUND THIS PRODUCT. To find this product you can go to wrapnana.myitworks.com or find a local It Works distributer to get it from. It cost $33 for a month supply. It is well worth it to try and see if it helps you as well as it has helped me.
I use to get a RX fro my DR that would need to be compounded special that I would apply to my nails similar to nail polish but it was a lotion. It helped. I then hid the mess under gel nails for years. I recently removed the gel nails and was surprised that all of the psoriasis was gone but my nails had thinned due to the gel nails...there is always a down side..
Thanks for your advice guys, it's kind of gone out of one nail for now and the pain has subsided. I'm booked in to see a Dermatologist who specialises in Psoriasis. Hopefully he can help with this damn thing!
All the best with yours, I hope it gets better 😊
I'm hiding all my nails with false ones, just need help now, at my lowest point
I have psoriasis under all my nails and I have been told by the dermatologist that there is nothing you can do to help it apart from cutting them short like you are doing. I'm sorry to tell you Blayne but my nails are coming away from the nail bed and yes they are very painful and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I have even cried myself to sleep before because of the pressure on them.
