When starting a new relationship how do you go about it when having psoriasis covering most of your body. I'm very shy and I reckon that this may turn off a lot of potential partners.
My partner has 75% of her body covered at the moment which has worsened recently, I see her as the person she is not her psoriasis, for sure the right person will see you for who you are and not your health problem, remain strong.
Very difficult question "up front and honest" sounds good, not all new partners will react the same, the only advice I would give is find out where you stand before the relationship gets too strong, if your partner is as keen on you as you are on them, they will not thank you for trying to hide the condition.
just be up front and honest .
I have been in a relationship for 9 months & I too was very self conscious of my plaque psoriasis & my crooked gnarled fingers & toes. He accepted me for me. He has worried over me & how the Humira wasn't working for me. I'm now on Cosentxy & am mostly clear & he is so excited for me. It never bothered him about my skin or my messed up body..... It only bothered him that I was feeling bad (low & in pain).
Ask any potential partners if they have any medical conditions. If they ask why, tell them about yours...honesty is our friend 😀
