Which Works The Best And Fastest?
Hi all. I am new here. I am currently taking Otezla, and I am beginning to wonder, is there any other meds that work faster?
I have been on Otezla now for over a year and have seen great results for my sever psoriasis. After an initial period of some diarrhea it seems to be working great.
I have just been prescribed otezla, after a terrible flare on hands and feet, I've read all the material And am worried about side effects, has any one experienced bad effects? I'm concerned especially about depression and respireristory infections since I suffer from copd
I experienced some side effects in the first few weeks after I started taking it. Bad diarrhea and I was more congested than normal, feeling, and any negativity towards me, no matter what it was about, felt it was because of the psoriasis and me working in fast food. Iall that has finally went away, and the otezla is working. The doctor suggested I go to a tanning bed with uvb bulbs, but I haven’t done that yet.
It’s worth sharing that a new (steroid-free) topical medication called Vtama became available in the US in 2022. The clinical trials have all been published online called Psoaring 1, 2, and 3. It’s a once a day cream with low reported side effects that has cleared people completely and has been accepted for longterm use.
Diarrhea & nausea, headaches for me for first 6-8 weeks on otezla. As long as I eat before taking my morning dose I am okay. Occasionally have to run to the bathroom about 30 mins after taking but no GI discomfort and nothing like the first few weeks in terms of severity.
I've found Otezla keeps symptoms at a minimum - I do still have some flares/breakthrough symptoms but everything is much more tolerable.
