Nail Psoriasis And Artificial Nails
Ive had psoriasis , PA and nail psoriasis for more years than I like to think about ! Ive always wanted to get my nails done
and have artificial nails done at a salon , BUT all that Ive read says that you should not get Artificial nails that can make nails pull away from nail bed. I was wondering anyone get artificial nails ?? My toe nails are lost cause nothing can help them but sure would be nice to have some of those pretty nails !
Hey hun I'm a level 3 qualified nail technician its not advisable to have acrylics due to the harsh chemicals causing a reaction. But if you are wanting your nails done I can reccomend that you go for a light buffing of the nails to help with pitting dont use or allow use of a file with less than 240grits and a polish for a coat or to help with strength I would suggest a gel polish application with an acid free primer. With regular monitoring for any lifting. I hope this was helpful hun
My nails are like this to that's why I use colorstreet nails they are 100% nail polish and only takes 10 mins to put on. I dont worry about them making my nails separate from nail bed cause I can change them when I want. There is different varieties and inexpensive. I love them makes me feel better about myself and we all need that.
Wow, Katrina your nails look great! So it doesn't bother your psoriasis? I would love to get my nails done but I thought if you had plaque psoriasis you couldn't get gel nails or acrylic nails. I'll have to ask my dermatologist about getting nails cause your look really nice!
These are my nails now . They stay on for a good 10 days as long as you prep your nails right. Just dont use acetone to remove.
I have mine done with gel every 3 weeks . My skin causes me so much angst ... at least having pretty nails makes me feel better . I have my toes done for the summer and if anything it seems to strengthen my toe nails as they can come off easily if knocked ( and they look nicer with gel)
I Have Vertical Ridges And The Odd Bit Of Putting But What Bothers Me Most Is How Thin And Bendy My Nails Are Impossible To Grow.
