Tattoos and Psoriasis?

The last time i gotten a tattoo was a couple months ago. This time it was pretty itchy. I assumed because its a bigger piece and is mostly color. But maybe it was also my psoriasis? Has anyone gotten a recent tattoo with having it? How bad has it affected you?

I have several tattoos, I got before I was diagnosed with psoriasis. Unfortunately, the Psoriasis has begun to destroy them. The peeling is pulling the ink. I also have Koebner’s Phenomenon which causes any area that gets injured to cause psoriasis to form. Not everyone who has psoriasis will have this phenomenon, but it can occur.

I’ve had a couple of tattoos done and lucky for me they are out of sight for others to see; it took years to heal , breaking the skin causes psoriasis to form around the affected area, and can take time to repair; also they faded very quickly.

I don’t have a tattoo and would never get one especially if you have psoriasis!
