Does Your Disease Move Around?

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Bend, OR

My skin and joint disease moves around. One area will improve as another worsens (example: my knees are normal again and my feet are getting better but now my hands are starting to flare again (they haven't in years). It's weird. It's like it picks a place to set up shop and just travels to other areas randomly?

I wondered if anyone else has had this experience with their disease.
Does it ever stop???

The same goes for my Psoriatic Arthritis., one day my feet hurt which is where my arthritis started, then it will go to my hands - it is always in my back.

LKayB, very similar experience. GYN was my last stop before someone finally decided that they needed to push the referral through to dermatology (also athlete's foot misdiagnosis 10 years prior and inflammatory arthritis diagnosis a year prior which led to the initial referral that the insurance shot down because "they have no interest in treating Psoriasis". Is there some strange thing that they don't take skin conditions seriously until it ends up on the groin? 😒

Every now and then it can surprise you and show up someplace you never dreamed it could. LOL

Same here @A MyPsoriasisTeam Member. I went to my OB/GYN who referred me to my current dermatologist. That’s how I was actually led toward my diagnosis. It’s the WORST place to have it and seems like that’s its’ favorite place to choose to flare up...🤦🏼‍♀️
