Psoriasis Meds & One Kidney

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Minneapolis, MN

Hi There!

I am currently on my 6/7th month of extract laser therapy. It's been helping but I have a really stubborn inverse psoriasis. I was wondering if there are any medications that are safe if you only have one kidney. My dermatologist is really leery to put me on anything but going to the derm twice a week for laser therapy is taking a lot of time from work and life and results are okay - but sllllowwwww.

Any recommendations or anyone else had this problem?

I've had laser on my inverse psoriasis, and the results were good, not a cure. Then, since I am in a blind study (tapinarof), the cream I've been given, I used a brief time on the inverse psoriasis. My skin reacted, broke out worse,
and got sore, so I stopped the cream. The psoriasis in that area has not troubled me since.
