After 9 years with this pain I am so relieved that a doctor finally said it was real, but I am so scared of the medicines. Any support and advice will be so appreciated.
I've been on humera for 3 years. It was amazing! It's starting to wear off now, but did great with it. I took it at night cause sleepiness.
Thank you so much for your answer. I really hope your new treatment works for you
I was diagnosed with PsA 2 years ago and like you was afraid to take the medications. At this point I have tried so many . On my 3rd oral medication . I tried 4 different injections and now on my 2nd type of infusion treatment hoping this will be the one that works . Yes , I did try Humira .I had some side effects (raised my blood pressure and had some breathing issues )so couldn’t continue on it . Which was actually really unfortunate because it was one that was actually starting to help with my symptoms . Everyone is different though and different meds work for different people . Unfortunately there is not a one size fits all medication for this . It’s a lot of trial and error . I’m still struggling to find a combination of meds that work , but trying to remain hopeful. I’m on a new oral medication along with a new infusion and have seen some improvement. Good luck with Humira. I do know someone that has had great results with it . I hope that it works well for you and eases your symptoms !
I am hoping this will help. I have plaque psoriasis also, but the pain is horrible with the Psoriatic Arthritis. Thank you for your answer.
I started on Humira...12 years ago. I have gone to Embrel, Remicaid (infusion), Cosentyx, Taltz, and about to go on Skyrizi.
The Taltz has helped but, I have started a terrible episode of Internal Psoriasis.
With Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankolysing Spondylitis...it has been help.
This Psoriasis matter will hopefully be impacted by Skyrizi.
