We have been on an anti inflammatory diet since December and we are doing all things natural but my fiancé is getting discouraged because he’s not seeing the results yet that he was hoping for. I’m just curious on the time frame until we start seeing improvements? I know that everybody’s body works differently, I’m just looking for an estimated time frame to encourage him to keep fighting through this.

Thank you 😊

Members shared their experiences with managing psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis through natural approaches, with many emphasizing that dietary changes typically take several weeks to months to show visible improvement, especially when extensive skin coverage is involved. Several members offered practical strategies including taking food sensitivity tests to identify personal triggers, using natural topical treatments like CBD oil, arnica, copaiba, and herbal salves with calendula or lavender, switching to natural personal care products, and reducing stress alongside dietary modifications. A recurring theme was the importance of patience and persistence with natural healing while also considering consultation with a rheumatologist, as untreated psoriatic arthritis can cause irreversible joint damage that may require a combination of natural and medical approaches.

My guess is he’s still eating something that is irritating his gut lining, he should see results within a few weeks, I’ve had psoriasis since I was 5 years old and it wasn’t until I changed my diet that I saw results

Hello Kim, it does take time...has your fiance ever tried CBD oil? I've been using and selling it for almost 2 years. It has been a life changer for my Psoriatic Arthritis. If you ever want to talk or find out more info, please email me at MammaCanapa at gmail dot com. I would love to help him heal!

Good luck to both of you. I’m not sure how long it takes for dietary changes to kick in but I would think you should notice a bit of improvement after a couple of months. There are others on here that will be able to share more specifics.
Are you doing any of the natural supplements that I have seen posts on like lucraderm for one example? Also seeing a Rheumatologist for the symptoms you have described might be wise. Sometimes we have to hit things from a “multitude of angles”.
Hope you notice improvement very soon.

I’m not on any medications nor am I doing the “natural thing” really. I try to watch what I eat if something bothers me. I used to be able to eat seafood without any problems but I can’t eat any now. You also want to watch the “nightshade” vegetables they can cause problems. I find it more important to watch what shampoos, laundry soap, lotions etc that has direct contact with the skin even the materials they’re made from. I hope he finds some relief soon. Take care
