I have plaque P on my scalp and head/face which is very itchy. However I’ve also noticed that I can have episodes where I am incredibly itchy on my arms and chest however there is no plaques or visible rash. Is this something that happens with psoriasis? Can you have itchiness where there are no outward skin symptoms?

You can try taking Benadryl for the itching especially at night if you itch in your sleep.

Sometimes those are the early symptoms of a flare up, where one tiny dot (maybe a nerve ending?) itches and burns, similar to mosquito bite, until it spreads into a larger visible area that reddens and begins to shed skin cells. Scratching does a lot of damage and makes things worse.
Ice sometimes calms the extreme itching. No fun. Sorry.
