Newly diagnosed with psoriasis. I mostly get plaques on my feet and legs although I’m starting to think I have on my scalp. At first dermatologist thought it was eczema/atopic dermatitis but after taking biopsy diagnosed with psoriasis. Using Vaseline with cocoa butter has been working so far to alleviate the itch. Also prescribed Triamcinolone topical cream for the inflammation
I considered vaseline but I think i forgot. I use coconut oil on chest and lower. Baby oil on arms and head.
I use coconut oil too. I read somewhere you have to be careful where you apply it cuz it can cause yeast infections.I use that in specific areas and baby oil in others.
Very recently diagnosed, got covid last year and it was after that, i started noticing little bumps on my arms and legs, then on my chest and face and they all started getting bigger and more scaley. I started using coconut oil twice a day and that is helping a little. Doesn't make it go away but definitely tamps down the itch.
Absolutely no disadvantages that I’m aware of. It’s natural so if it doesn’t cause an issue with your skin it should be fine.
