Cimzia

A MyPsoriasisTeam Member asked a question 💭
Philadelphia, PA

My rheumatologist is recommending Cimzia. I have some scalp psoriasis and a lot of stiffness of the joints as well as aches & pains.
Does anyone fell that Cimzia has been helpful with their stiffness and pain? Have you encountered any unpleasant side effects?

Try fish oil tablets they reduce inflammation. I have found they stop the flare ups

I received injections for a couple of months, then the insurance company said it would not pay. I felt fine when on it.

I was on Cimzia weekly injections and it did help. But it was too expensive to continue.

I had good results while on Cimzia injections. I did cease Cimzia when I moved from one city to another. Then I didn’t resume because I was concerned about COVID-19 because Cimzia suppresses your immune system. My PSA symptoms have returned and I will talk with my current rheumatologist about resuming Cimzia

I tried Cimzia for Psa without skin disease. It did not help me. The medication in the syringe is very thick and harder to inject than Enbrel, Humira, and Cosentyx.
