Anyone have any recommendations for getting hair to regrow? Anyone else experienced this?
I just started using castor oil before washing my hair, and rosemary oil 2x every week. The psoriasis does knock down a couple of new hairs but some serm to be coming back!
Look at you go with all of these great ideas already!
But, to answer your initial question: mineral oil. I used to put it on my head and wrap in a towel. It would loosen the plaques enough, and then I use Clobetasol cream. Typically, we don’t want to shower everyday because we don’t want to wash those natural oils away and make our skin even more dry but for us, it’s different. Take showers everyday to wash away the plaques :) Hope I was helpful in some way!
My entire immediate family suffers from some form of alopecia, and my sister swears by coconut oil for her hair! Best of all; you can find it at the dollar store! I’d grab one of those head bath towels (again, sometimes at the dollar store) and wrap your hair in coconut oil at the scalp. That’ll help relieve some of those plaques (and it smells good too).
*an edit to my mineral oil old school comment LoL
I am reassuring myself that by making a choice to cut my hair short is taking control of my situation and not letting my situation take control of me. It's my decision to cut it short so that it looks healthier and it's easier to wash with the medicated shampoo because hair down your butt is a real pain to wash every other day take so long to dry. So maybe I'll even have fun doing weird stuff to it when it short
Well Victoria, rest assured that your hair is not your only beauty and I’m sure it’ll look great, and feel liberating!
