(I have minimal psoriasis, mainly the arthritis part of the disease process)
I have PsA I was on Enbrel for years and my insurance wanted me on Humira. I stayed on Humira for 4 months and I got where I couldn't walk I had so much pain all over. My doctor had to fight with the insurance company and I was put back on Enbrel. That was a blessing. I've been on Enbrel now for 14 years. My doctors put me on Methotrexate too for the psoriasis, He said enbrel & methotrexate work well together but no improvement with the psoriasis. I'm learning to make the best of my situation with psoriasis.
I'm so blessed that I feel like the old Roberta with no more pain. But I do think exercise and eating properly makes a big difference in my PsA.
They say food is medicine so I try to think about what I'm consuming
I hope you have better luck with Humira than I did.
I have minimal psoriasis as well and I’m on Humira for PsA. It has helped me out considerably over the years. At the beginning I was searching for any reprieve; I couldn’t hold my toothbrush longer than 5 seconds!
Diet plays a significant role along with Humira; and Finding out even when your C-reactive protein score is low by abiding to all the healthy laws, Stress can take over and flare you up! Ice packs and steroid injections have been able to lessen the pain, but I still struggle with Fatigue that you’ll have to accommodate taking this drug. All the best.
I was on humira and loved it.. it works quick and cleared my entire body up...good luck!
Humira was the first biologic I tried it didn't really help much. The one thing it did help clear up the nail putting on my feet and some of the psoriasis patches I had. I was on it for about 4 1/2 months. It didn't help with my PsA.
