I have taken Cymbalta for depression for years. It works pretty well for that issue, however I know it’s also used for pain. I’ve had chronic pain from PsA and degenerated&herniated discs for 3 1/2 years. I didn’t notice any improvement in my pain on my normal 90 mg dose of Cymbalta. Surgery helped the disc issues and, so far, Humira is providing decent pain control for my PsA (I just started it in May.) For the excrutiating nerve pain I had before my spinal surgeries, I took Gabapentin. It did a great job controlling the nerve pain. A word of caution about Cymbalta, in case you decide to start taking it then, maybe, decide it’s not doing the trick and want to stop... DO NOT stop taking it cold turkey! The side effects of withdrawing are brutal!! A doctor needs to titrate your dose down when you decide to stop it. (Hopefully your doc would tell you this, but just in case.......🙄😱). I take oxycodone for pain 5mg 3xs per day it does help without it i would be couch bound i have RA,Degenerative disc disease (low back and neck),and psoriasis, and probably psoriatic arthritis still need to be tested i have trouble sleeping so i use marijuana wich it doesn't always work and sleepy time tea what did work the docs wont give it to me any more and i've gained weight because its hard to be active during the day when you don't sleep now winter is almost here my pain goes off the charts i use heat pack on my neck and back it helps it's a struggle but i've learned to live with it.

I take Hydrocodone. I can't take more than 1 at a time or I get sick so that helps with becoming addicted but it really helps with the pain.

I started on it years ago. Helps with nerve pain and anxiety for me
