For the past 10 yrs I get terrible sun blisters on my lips whenever I’m on holiday to a hot country, having these blisters are so unsightly & super painful, it’s agony to talk, smile, eat, drink and my pillow overnight gets bloodied and I look a scary mess when I wake up. I wear hats, suncream & lip protector, and I’ve been taking Aciclovir 400mg tabs twice daily for 8 yrs prior to going away on my holidays, but I’m still getting them. If you are developing blisters from the sun you should have your doctor check for Lupus. I developed Lupus and my Rheumatologist thought it was from Humira but over a year off of Humira my markers are still going up and down. I have a feeling that it goes hand in hand with PSA. I also have Sjögren’s syndrome.

Hi I developed my first cold sore at the age of 59. Tried several different ways that people suggested. None worked. Eventually , for one reason or another I decided on taking a daily ZINC TABLET. After starting this, no more COLD SORES. However, any females looking at this and thinking about falling PREGNANT should look further into taking ZINC. I now have cut my zinc intake back to every second day and it works fine. If you do start on ZINC and find that you do occasionally think you are about to get a cold sore , double up for a couple of days.I trust that this may be of assistance to anyone who not only suffers from psoriasis but also cold sores. As far as travelling,. this time of year is a no,no for me as I reside in the SUNNIEST CAPITAL CITY IN THE WORLD. I prefer to chase the sun in the winter.
