Most people don't lose hair on low doses of Mtx. but it is an old chemotherapeutic medication and when I was in nursing school- before we used gloves for everything- we handled Mtx with care and always with gloves on. So hair loss is possible but I had liver damage long before any hair loss could occur. Your doctor will do blood work to avoid liver damage and make sure they actually palpate your liver as well during visits.
