Doctor put me on prednisone for scalp .has anyone else had them and did they work plus did you have any adverse side effects .did they work
Prednisone works great for scalp, but when you go off, you get a bad rebound
Have you heard of Vtama? It’s a prescription cream that doesn’t have steroids in it. It’s used once a day. I put it on my scalp psoriasis, at night before I went to sleep, and washed my hair in the morning. I used it for approximately 2 months and it cleared the psoriasis up completely. I’ve been fighting P. S. for at least 10 years. I feel like I don’t have it anymore. I think Vtama works for up to 4 months and then it might need to be used again but that’s ok with me.
Be careful with long term use of prednisone. I only go on it in the worst possible PsA flares that last too long. To help me out of a flare.
It definitely is a miracle drug, but not one to use forever.
The Prednisone I took by mouth. Worked well but didn't keep me on it very long. Has a rebound affect when you stop which means it threw me into a flare.
Yes, please @A MyPsoriasisTeam Member and Thank You, @A MyPsoriasisTeam Member I’m very happy to talk about Vtama with all and any, but I know it’s not yet available in the UK :(
I’ve met others who are looking into how long it will take that to happen.
